HHS Junior Olaf Rozner Named Student Advisory Representative to the Board of Education
At the regular board of education meeting on June 18, the board welcomed HHS junior Olaf Rozner as its new student advisory representative for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school years. Replacing graduating senior Niko Knanishu, Olaf will serve in this role alongside HHS senior Emma Jacobsen.
Student advisory representatives serve as the voice of their peers and other students across the district, offering valuable insight and perspectives to the board and administration to help guide district decisions and initiatives. The student representatives attend board meetings, participate in discussions, and provide regular updates on student experiences and school culture, but are not voting members of the board.
“Olaf is a dedicated student leader at Huntley High School who exemplifies the qualities of an engaged and responsible citizen,” said board president Paul Troy. “We are excited to welcome him to this role and look forward to the insight and perspective he will bring as he helps represent the voice of our students.”
Rozner is actively involved in National Honor Society (NHS), Spanish Honor Society (SHS) and the HHS Engineering Academy and serves as a co-leader for the Raiders Engineering Club.
In his new role, Rozner aspires to build a network within the district to act as a channel for all students to project their voices. "In my position as Student Advisory Representative, I hope to make Huntley 158 a place where students can use their voices to create a place to foster their futures and build towards their success."
